Location: Bellingham, WA (Options of hybrid, in-person and telehealth)

Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099)

Flexible | Part-Time or Full-Time Caseload Options (15 - 25 clients per week)

 

About the Role

We are seeking fully licensed and associate therapists in Bellingham, WA with a passion for mental health and a demonstrated commitment to serving the LGBTQIA+ community to join our supportive, collaborative group practice as a 1099 independent contractor. This role is ideal for clinicians who value inclusive, affirming care and want to support individuals and/or couples through life transitions.

You’ll have the autonomy to build a caseload while being supported by a practice that prioritizes therapist well-being, ethical care, and sustainable workloads.

This role is ideal for the counselor that desires to work and participate in a space that is actively building community and support to help clinicians thrive.

Qualifications

  • Fully or associate licensed in Washington State (LMHC, LMFT, LMHCA, LMFT)
  • Demonstrated experience and commitment to providing affirming care to LGBTQIA+individuals and couples (required)
  • Active, unrestricted WA license in good standing
  • Experience working with adults and/or couples (preferred but not required)
  • Ability to work independently while engaging in a collaborative clinical community
  • Timely and accurate clinical documentation

Responsibilities

  • Provide psychotherapy services to individuals and/or couples (mixed caseload)
  • Deliver culturally responsive, trauma-informed, and LGBTQIA+-affirming care
  • Maintain ethical and professional standards of practice
  • Complete documentation in a timely manner
  • Participate in optional consultation and peer support

Compensation

  • Competitive per-session rate, Clinician/Practice split (fully licensed clinicians: 65/35 first year, 70/30 year2+, associate licensed clinicians: 60/40 first year, 65/35 year 2+)
  • Steady referral stream, including perinatal, couples and LGBTQIA+ clients
  • No required unpaid administrative meetings

Preferred (but not required) Experience

  • Training and/or experience in perinatal mental health (pregnancy, postpartum, fertility, birth trauma, perinatal loss, early parenting)
  • Experience providing couples/relationship therapy, or focus on perinatal relationshiptherapy
