Mental Health Counseling from a Christian Perspective

Reports To: Clinical Director
Working Hours: 15–45 hours per week (caseload size determined by applicant)

Pay: $100-$125/hour

Founded in 2014, New Ground Counseling has become a well-established counseling network with a reliable stream of referrals and an ongoing waitlist of clients. We maintain longstanding relationships with local churches, schools, and families across the Eastside and Snohomish County areas.

What We Provide

• Thoughtfully designed child therapy spaces at our Redmond, WA and Downtown Snohomish, WA locations.
• Flexibility, including setting your own hours and caseload size.
• A steady stream of ongoing client referrals, supported by:
• A website profile with strong Google search visibility
• Ongoing advertising funded by New Ground (Google Ads, Facebook, Psychology Today, etc.)
• Longstanding referral relationships with local counselors, churches, and schools
• Bi-weekly group supervision via Zoom
• The ability to practice your Christian faith openly and congruently as a therapist.

Child Therapy Focus

Due to a significant demand for child counseling, New Ground Counseling has developed dedicated child therapy spaces at two of our locations, in:

• Redmond, WA
• Downtown Snohomish, WA

These spaces have been intentionally designed to support play therapy and/or child-centered clinical work.

Work Location

Because our demand for child counseling exists in both the Redmond and Snohomish offices, full-time candidates will likely begin with a split schedule between these two locations.

However, as our child counseling program continues to grow and additional office space opens, we anticipate that many clinicians will eventually transition to working primarily from a single location.

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must possess one of the following Washington licenses:

• Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
• Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA) – limited openings
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
• Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate (LMFTA) – limited openings
• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW)
• Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker Associate (LICSWA) – limited openings

Seeking

We are seeking clinicians who:

• Have a passion for working with children and families in therapy
• Are trained in or pursuing child therapy as a focus
• Want to be part of a team of caring professionals who value both faith and strong clinical practice
