FT/PT WA Approved Clinical Supervisor/Clinician for Independent Group Practice

At Thrive Counseling Center, we are an independently owned, private group counseling practice that centers connection, genuine support, and sustainable supervision. We are looking for someone who’s ready for a full-time or part-time supervisory role that blends relational support with the structure and accountability that help our team and our clients thrive.

We currently have openings for both a part-time and a full-time clinical supervisor.

While we welcome clinical supervisors/clinicians who are interested in a part-time position while working at an agency, hospital, or within community mental health, this is not a position that is well suited for those who want to maintain a private practice concurrently.

In this role, you’ll spend your time primarily supporting our Associate Therapists while staying engaged in your own clinical work with a manageable caseload. You will meet with supervisees individually, as well as guide group discussions/consults. You will help our Associates build confidence around ethics, documentation, trauma-informed care, and the real-world nuances of showing up for clients. You will be a steady partner in their development, supporting our Associates as they discover their emerging clinical identity and in developing clinical and professional grounding. You understand the importance of balancing the needs of the clinician, the client, and the practice by creating a culture where accountability feels supportive and shared.

• Values clear, compassionate, and direct communication, relational supervision, and a team culture that genuinely cares for one another
• Enjoys a rhythm that blends on-site, in-office connection with the ease of doing some work/sessions/supervision from home
• Is steady, ethical, and collaborative, and you don’t mind slowing down to help someone navigate the many moving parts of early-career clinical work
• Has passion and experience supporting (and supervising providers of) LGBTQIA+ clients, neurodivergent clients, and diverse communities
• Feels at home in trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices clinically and within supervisory relationship
• Wants to work somewhere that prioritizes relational safety as much as clinical excellence.
• Is looking for a place to call their clinical “home” for a while. We value relational therapy, and relational supervision. This means doing the deeper dive work…that takes time. While transitions happen, we are looking for folks who want to "root" into Thrive.

You Are:

• A WA State Approved Supervisor (LMFT, LICSW, or LMHC) with a valid and unrestricted Independent License
•  Close to having your WA State Supervisor credential (2+ years post-graduation and on track to complete supervisor approval). The right candidate will be considered.
• A clinician with impeccable ethics, strong knowledge of HIPAA/state regs, and a collaborative spirit.
• A Supervisor/provider who may have experience working with kids, teens, families, relationships, and/or LGBTQIA+ affirming counseling. Those with interest and experience in these areas are especially encouraged to apply.

Schedule/Hours

FT supervisor - typical 11 am to 7 pm M-F. Hybrid w/ options for days in-office and from home.

PT position, we will collaborate on a schedule that aligns with your needs, our clients needs, and our supervisee’s needs. Meetings are late morning or early afternoons. Later afternoons/evening(or weekends) are prime time for clinical work. This is when our clients are out of work/school. PT supervisors typically work 20-25 hours per week based on caseload size, supervisees, etc.

Compensation 

FT comp range for an approved supervisor is $75,000–$95,000 annual salary (before benefits), based on caseload, supervisory responsibilities, and positive performance. Candidates who are not yet fully approved may be offered comp reflective of current status.

PT supervisors are paid hourly. Supervisory and sup admin time is paid the same as clinical work = $55-62/hour.
