FT/PT WA Approved Clinical Supervisor/Clinician for Independent Group Practice

Thrive Counseling Center - Federal Way, WA
Full-time
Salary: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 Annually
Application Deadline: N/A
Clinicial Mental Health Counseling

If you are a licensed therapist (LICSW, LMHC, LMFT, Psychologist) and an approved WA State Supervisor who loves the heart of clinical work and supporting new therapists grow, we may have the position for you.

At Thrive Counseling Center, we are an independently owned group practice that centers connection, genuine support, and sustainable supervision. We’re looking for someone ready for a full-time or part-time supervisory role that blends relational support with the structure and accountability that help our team and clients thrive.

We currently have openings for both part-time and full-time clinical supervisors.

While we welcome candidates who may also work in agencies, hospitals, or community mental health, this role is for someone who wants to be part of our community. Our ideal candidate wants to feel connected to our team, stay engaged in our day-to-day operations, support our growth and development, and develop a real understanding of how Thrive works. Being part of our clinical team and seeing Thrive clients is an important part of that connection because it allows supervisors to understand the organization from within. Because this role is rooted in connection and collaboration, it isn’t suited for folks wanting to maintain a separate private practice while engaging with Thrive solely as a supervisor.

In this role, you’ll spend most of your time supporting our Associate Therapists while staying engaged in your own clinical work with a manageable caseload. You’ll meet with supervisees individually and guide group discussions/consults. You will help Associates build confidence around ethics, documentation, trauma-informed care, and the real-world nuances of early-career work. You will be a steady partner in their development as they discover their emerging clinical identity and strengthen their grounding. You understand how to balance the needs of the clinician, the client, and the practice by creating a culture where accountability feels supportive and shared.

We are looking for candidates who:
Value clear, compassionate communication, relational supervision, and a team culture that genuinely cares for one another
● Enjoy a rhythm that blends in-office connection with the ease of some remote work
Are steady, ethical, and collaborative, and willing to slow down to help someone navigate early-career clinical work
● Have passion and experience supporting LGBTQIA+ clients, neurodivergent clients, and diverse communities
● Feel at home in trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices
● Want to work somewhere that prioritizes relational safety alongside clinical excellence
● Are looking for a place to call their clinical “home” for a while and are ready to invest in deeper relational work

You Are:
● A WA State Approved Supervisor (LMFT, LICSW, or LMHC) with a valid, unrestricted license
● Or close to supervisor approval (2+ years post-graduation). The right candidate will be considered.
● A clinician with impeccable ethics, strong knowledge of HIPAA/state regs, and a collaborative spirit
● Someone who may have experience with kids, teens, families, relationships, and/or LGBTQIA+ affirming work

Schedule/Hours
FT supervisors typically work 11 am to 7 pm, M–F, with hybrid options.
PT schedules are created collaboratively based on your needs, client needs, and supervisee needs. Meetings are late morning or early afternoon. Later afternoons/evenings (or weekends) are prime time for clinical work. PT supervisors typically work 20–25 hours per week based on caseload and supervisees.

Compensation
FT range: $75,000–$95,000 (before benefits), based on caseload, supervisory responsibilities, and performance. Candidates not yet approved may be offered compensation reflective of current status.
PT supervisors are paid hourly. Supervisory and related admin time is paid the same as clinical work ($55–62/hour).
Rates for Psychologists: please inquire.
