Part-Time Mental Health Counselor

Hours:  20 – 28 hours depending on availability  (Monday through Wednesday or Thursday depending on hours and availability)

Basic Job Description:   Engedi Refuge is currently looking for a part-time mental health counselor. This position provides a range of clinically indicated services including but not limited to assessing client functioning and needs, crisis management, individual psychotherapy and group therapy for adult women who have survived sexual exploitation and trafficking. This position is responsible for partnering with the client to develop an individually tailored care plan designated to promote healing within the therapeutic framework of Engedi Refuge.

Ideal Candidate will have: 

• MA/MS/MSW Degree in a Behavioral Science related field.
• Current Washington State Licensure as LMHC or LMHCA* or equivalent in Social Work, Marriage & Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals with complex mental health needs
• An interest in and/or experience with working with people experiencing the effects of complex trauma and insecure attachment 
• Ability to maintain a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.
• Ability to work well within a treatment team context collaboratively problem solving to meet the client's unique needs.
• A background with eating disorder and/or substance use disorder would be highly valued.
• An ability to assist or teach a class in the area of substance use disorder and/or Co-dependency is preferred.

Hourly Wage:  $30/hr, PTO and Holiday Benefits included
