The Nisqually Indian Tribe is developing a Medicine Assisted Treatment (MAT) facility on Pacific Ave in Olympia, Washington to address the opioid crisis within the Thurston County Area. The Nisqually Indian Tribe is passionate about developing a whole person recovery model - keeping all the services under one roof – so the patient has the best possible chance of recovery. Our goal is to bring healing and wellness to the community, focusing on the entire family by serving tribal and non-tribal patients.
The Mental Health Counselor provides expertise in counseling that includes providing assessments, individual counseling, and case management; must possess strong crisis intervention skills and will be able to provide comprehensive individual and group therapy.
Minimum requirements: must have a master’s degree in a mental health discipline, LMHC or LMFT, must be current in appropriate professional registration/certification with Washington State, must have a minimum of one year experience in mental health treatment with a preference for one year of experience in working with dually diagnosed patients, must possess/maintain a valid Washington State Driver’s license/driving record to be insurable on the tribe’s automobile insurance, and must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screen and state/federal criminal background check. This person must be able to work with vulnerable populations including adults and children and must pass a state and national (FBI) criminal history background check prior to employment.
