Job Summary: 

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our team on a full-time basis. As a remote therapist, you will provide timely therapeutic services, including crisis intervention, assessments, and counseling, to individuals via secure telehealth platforms. You will align with our healthcare team as a highly dedicated healthcare professional who’s comfortable with technology and enjoys working remotely. 

Essential Job Functions: 

  • Services to be provided remotely to individuals seeking therapy for mental health disorders and/or co-occurring disorders. Individuals being referred to this service provider will be active patients of an opioid treatment program. 
  • Assess and diagnose patients for mental health/ substance use diagnoses using DSM and/or ASAM criteria. This may also involve using standardized testing to complete psychological evaluations and/or mental status examinations. 
  • Prepare individualized treatment plans to address mental health or co-occurring disorders of the patient with the input of the patient, relevant providers and patient’s chosen supports. 
  • Provides diagnostic, treatment, referral, and crisis intervention services for patients in accordance with standards established by incumbent's professional mental health organization (such as the Association for Marriage and Family Therapy, Association for Professional Counselors, National Association for Social Workers, American Psychological Association, etc.).  
  • Conducts individual psychotherapy for adults.  
  • Coordinates service provision to patients and consults with professional colleagues as needed to promote optimal patient care including appropriate referrals for psychiatric evaluation or medication. 
  • Participates in interdisciplinary case conferences. 
  • Conducts risk assessments and referrals as appropriate. 
  • Maintains all appropriate patient records in the Electronic Medical Record according to documentation policies and guidelines. 
  • Participates in committee, departmental, and team meetings as relevant and required. 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Knowledge and proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches (e.g., CBT, DBT, trauma-focused therapy). 
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively connect with clients remotely. 
  • Ability to manage a caseload and prioritize tasks efficiently in a remote work environment. 
  • A passion for helping individuals improve their mental health and overall well-being. 

Education and Experience:  

  • Master’s degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited program. 
  • 2-3 years of experience in psychotherapy; inclusive of at least one year delivering telehealth services using appropriate remote tools to virtually connect with patients.

Licensing Requirement:  

  • Possess a current and active, independent LCSW license in the State of Washington. 
  • Preferred: A concurrent license as a substance abuse counselor/professional.
